Finally Maya 8.0 is out. There are a bunch of new stuff in this new version. But my favorite one a feature called "Primitive Modeling". You know how when we click on "Cube" maya will make a cube @ the origin. But in this new version, you can actually draw it out! Like 3ds max!!! I LOVE IT! You can also use the live feature to draw a new primitive on another surface! AND if you don't like this new feature, you can turn it off!!! There are some other new tools like "Bridge" and ... but one thing is that most of the menus are changed and you might get confused sometimes. But eventually it's gonna go away. I think I like the new version of maya. I haven't looked for the new commands in MEL but I'm sure it's gonna be interesting!
